Here we can publish local services information, an ad for the Village Hall from Peter Taylor, the Village Shop, the Gala, etc. and website links - for example John Buckley suggested http://www.chapelthorpesurgery.co.uk/ where there is information on local pharmacies and other surgeries.

Sponsors could be marked with a "sponsor" badge and villagers encouraged to use them in preference - all other things being equal of course!)
*Holiday homes to let* I have been approached already to advertise villagers' holiday homes - this of course has a world wide audience so I would put some extra information into the page "code" to make such ads more "visible" to search engines. Photos, a description, tariff, availability would be good - preferably in a plain text word processed document e-mailed to me, or on a PC format floppy disk. General information I have put some general information links on the "Useful Links" page. Its a bit of a jumble at the moment but I will sort it out gradually. There is stuff there on Yellow Pages for the whole of the UK which also gives you a location map for each address, UK residential phone directory, postcodes etc. |
