Notton Gala attracts approx. 4 - 5,000 visitors each year and is a good day out for all the family including central arena entertainment and low cost charity stalls for games, bric-a-brac and local produce. A 'no alcohol' policy helps to keep a 'family' atmosphere and a professional fairground area and 'trade' stalls 'add a bit of polish'. See the new interactive 'Community' website for this year's and more up-to-date details - click here for 2009 gala details. Entry is free with a small charge for parking and programme (including prize draw number). The 2005 Notton Gala was held on Sunday 12th June and featured emu (or were they ostrich?) races. Our gala provides a traditional afternoon out for all the family held on the delightful village green in one of West Yorkshire's most appealing villages. Typical attractions include:
Ample car parking is available on the playing fields by the Tennis Club. Proceeds fund the village hall and local charities. Find us with this Location Map. |
